The leadership team of Air Mauritius Limited comprises of the following senior executives:
Is presently the Acting - CEO and the Chief Finance Officer and Chief Information
Officer. He joined the company in April 2009. He is in
charge of the Finance and Information Systems
Departments and has also under his supervision the
Cabin Services department and
Airmate Ltd.
Is the Chief Commercial Officer – Restructuring Team Leader. He joined Air Mauritius in April 2012 to support the implementation of the new business model. Derek Shanks has developed international markets for airlines, cruise companies and hotel groups and has an extensive background and knowledge of international sales and marketing. He is a proven leader and has a led a global team to develop revenues for airlines, hotel groups, cruise lines and car rental companies, with a track record of high client retention, client relationship management and contract negotiations.
Is the Executive Vice President : Strategic Planning, Network, Alliances & Cargo. He joined Air Mauritius in July 1986. He is in charge of fleet planning, network planning, international affairs, Alliances and has been given the additional responsibility for Cargo operation. Rajah Buton will play a key role to ensure the maximum synergy and alignment necessary for the successful implementation of the new business model.

Is the Executive Vice President : Customer Services and Corporate Communications. He joined the Company in August 1988. One important project aims at raising our Service Quality from a SKYTRAX 3 Star to a 4 Star level. A dedicated core team under the leadership of Donald Payen will look after this reinvention in service and product quality at every customer touch point. Donald Payen is also responsible for corporate and external communications.
IIs the Executive Vice President-Internal Audit. He joined the company in April 1989. He is in charge of the Internal Audit functions throughout the Group.
Is the Executive Vice President-Flight Operations. He joined the Company in April 1979. He was formerly the Director Flight Operations responsible for managing the cockpit crew and also the delivery of flights to customers.
Is the Company’s Secretary and Executive Vice President : Legal & General Counsel. He joined the Company in April 2001. Barrister-at-law by profession,he is in charge of the Company Secretariat and the legal department. He currently holds the responsibility of Acting Executive Vice President : Human Resources and Organisation Development.
Is the Executive Vice President : Airports & Ground Operations. He joined the company in May 1990.He heads the Ground Operations function which has been expanded to include all Airports, Ground Transport (Mauritius) and Ground Support Services.
